Puzzle Caches In Progress

Here are a few puzzle caches I am working on. These are so hard that there is a website that was started for us to share ideas on how to solve them. Some of these have never been found! If you can help on any of these, please chime in. I can use all the help I can get as I'm not very good with puzzle caches. Here's the list:

Okay. Here are the puzzles, any help you can give? The owner's website does give a few hints, but not too many. So let me know what you all think. I think the cache owner is psycho myself!!

Sunday, February 3, 2008 - Caching

Well, making plans to go caching with my sister, Dobecountry, tomorrow. Guess we are going to hit one of the state parks that I have never been to before. Looks like they have quite a few in that park. Will update on what we find!

1/29/08 - Harbison State Forest

Took a little break from working on the house to get it ready to sell. Have been stripping and varnishing stairs and handrails and the fumes were getting to me, so what better to do on a 70 degree day but go geocaching!!

Went to Harbison Forest State Park here in Columbia. I had already done a few in this park, but still needed a few more. I think after today, I still have six more I need to get and two are puzzles caches, so they might get left behind. (smile) Ended up close to some caches I had already gotten, so decided to stop and check on them to make sure they were still covered and dry.

One of the caches I went to today had a really great idea. They put a State Quarter book in the cache for everyone to bring a state quarter to fill up this book and then when the book is filled, it will be donated to a certain group. The cache still had regular swag to trade also. Might have to do something like this after my move to 'Bama and maybe donate it to a local women's shelter or something. I put six coins in that weren't already in there and then traded a swag item too.

Another one I had today was setup kind of like one that I have hidden out on an island on the lake where I live. It is hung in a tree by a rope and then the rope was tethered across a few other trees and then tied. It was off the trail, so the rope and cache couldn't be seen, but most people don't walk around looking in the air anyway. It was quite a chore trying to get it down by myself. It's almost a two man cache. (smile)

These were the only two new ones I did today and I checked on three others that I was passing closeby on the way to these caches. I still have four that I want to get before I leave here that are in this same park along the riverbank. For those I will take the bike because it would be a long haul. I ended up walking around five miles today, but it was leisure walking and not fast paced at all.

I'm not sure of my count of caches I've found right now, but I know I'm getting close to the 150 mark. Will have to remember to check it before my next posting.

Getting Started

I have been geocaching for almost a year now and am hooked. If you're not sure what geocaching is, visit http://www.geocaching.com/ and check it out, but don't say you haven't been warned that this little hunting game is very addicting.

I made this blog mainly to keep family and friends updated on what's going on with my geocaching and about interesting things that might have happened. I will also have certain puzzle caches that I am working on in hopes some of you might be able to help me with them. I will have some favorite caches, my to do list caches, and some different posts that I think might be interesting or helpful to you all.

Feel free to jump in and join any of the conversations.
